Decent Jerk Chicken in Bangkok. We both impressed with Ackee dish with biscuits! They seasoned it so well. Bf is not a big fan of goat curry but I think it’s pretty good. Very generous on house wine. Lovely experience.
I've been looking for a decent goat curry in Bangkok for years. There has been a lack of good Jamaican cuisine for as long as I can remember but this gap has been nicely filled. The mutton curry is authentic and tender, the jerk chicken is up there with the best I've tasted. Oh, and you are made to feel welcome on entry in a chilled environment with a variety of reggae music to compliment the experience.
I learned about this restaurant from a friend that lives in Bangkok. On a trip to Bangkok, I ate at the restaurant and I found that the reviews are very accurate regarding the food. The food is fresh and seasoned very good. I had the Curried Goat and the Jerk Chicken Wings. Both dishes were excellent. The owner also stopped to talk with us about the food. I strongly recommend this restaurant when you're in Bangkok, Thailand.
Highly recommend! As a Jamaican, I can confirm the authenticity. Today is the second day in a row in which I have visited this restaurant. I was surprised to find such an authentic tasting Jamaican food place in Bangkok, of all places. Hats off to the owner, he took time to speak with me about his pride and joy, Frying Pan Jerk Grill.
FOOD, DRINKS, CUSTOMER SERVICE 🔥🔥🔥🔥 This spot is everything! We are here several times each month.. The food is incredible. I've had the entire menu and everything is proper. My favorite dishes are the ackee & saltfish (they have veg option also), Escovitch fish, brown stew chicken, and breadfruit. My husband loves jerk chicken. If we go without the kids takeaway is a must - can't walk through the door without rice & peas for my toddler. I could rave all day about this spot. If you're in BKK & missing authentic Jamaican cuisine you need to visit this restaurant. Staff is attentive and the bartender mixes nice, strong cocktails!
Foods were great tasting,, served us very fast, stayed almost two hours in restaurant, trying different dishes..will return for more GREAT TASTING OXTAILS AND RICE. Great location, nice cool breeze running thru the restaurant.very nice vibes, Hay you can even pick up MaryJane That's Marijuana , Yes, it's now legal to sell in Thailand. Be sure to visit.
My experience eating at the Frying Pan Jerk Restaurant was so amazing. I been in Bangkok for 10 days and when it was lunch and dinner time this is where I dine. The owner and staff is so polite and kind, they always practice clean habits around your food. I tried everything on the menu and was impressed 👌 with everything. I'm beyond impress, and can spend many paragraphs writing how great this place really is. If you are looking for food with authentic Jamaican flavor this is the place! Great staff and the owner is a very cool down to earth guy. His staff is also very friendly and they greet guest with Jamaican greetings like “Wha Gwan” & “Everything Irie”. Had the stewed chicken and rice and peas and it was delicious. The jerk chicken is delicious and has the right amount of kick from the jerk sauce. Also had the panang chicken from the Thai menu and it was full of flavor and spice. Affordable prices and good mixed drinks. Definitely a hotspot to check out in Bangkok! Don’t forget to greet the staff with a “Wha Gwan” to see them smile
Fantastic experience, from the food to the service and laid-back atmosphere. Everything was spiced well and delicious. Jerk chicken was outstanding and so was the Ackie Salt fish and biscuits.
This modest establishment is thriving with flavor. The stewed chicken is so tender the meat falls off the bones and it’s so incredibly delicious. Dishes here are on the spicy side but that’s why you came in the first place, right? Whatever you’re favorite menu item is they will do it so we’ll. Enjoy
We visited this restaurant over the weekend and it did not disappoint. We ordered the, Curried Chicken, Jerk Chicken, Escavitch Fish, and Mixed Vegetables. Later, the chef came out and gave us a complimentary Curried Goat dish. Wow! The servings were huge. There was only 2 of us but this meal could’ve easily fed 4 people. We ended up doing take-away.
